Mahjong 102 Strategy & Guided Play

You know the tiles and you’ve played your first few hands. Now it’s time to get comfortable actually playing.

Mahjong 102 is built around guided play with real support. You’ll have hands-on instructor help throughout as you work through full games.

We go deeper into the parts of the game that take practice. You’ll work on using the Charleston to set up your hand, choosing a hand that fits the tiles you’re holding, knowing when to call, and handling trickier situations like dead hands and defensive play. We also cover table etiquette so you feel at home at any game.

Most players leave 102 feeling a lot more confident. It helps to come while 101 is still fresh, so the sooner you play again the better.

Mahjong 102 is designed for players who’ve learned the foundations in our in-person Mahjong 101 class. To keep everyone on the same page, outside or online play doesn’t meet the prerequisite.

We’re located right near the corner of Addison & Clark, just a few doors down from Wrigley Field in the heart of Lakeview. It’s a lively neighborhood with lots happening year-round—Cubs games, concerts, the Christkindlmarket, special events at Gallagher Way, and all kinds of neighborhood festivals and shows. Because of that, traffic and parking can shift a bit depending on what’s going on nearby.

Our sessions are small and every seat matters to the group. We appreciate your understanding and support of our small business.

• Reschedule requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance
• If plans change and you contact us before the 72 hour window, we will do our best to help with store credit
• Inside the 72 hour window (including same-day changes and no-shows) we are unable to offer store credit or rescheduling
• All tickets are final sale; we do not offer cash refunds or ticket transfers
